Let's Talk About Sex with Natalie Vartanian
SEX. I remember being in sixth grade and blushing whenever I heard that word. I'd giggle and squirm because it was so awkward. Well, I'm 30 now, and I still feel awkward.
Sex is a wonderful, healthy, necessary part of the human experience, so why are we all so damn afraid and ashamed to talk about it? Why is there so much negativity surrounding an act that the survival of the human race depends on?
Logically, it seems absurd, but my emotions create a different reality for me. I love my husband more than anything. We've been together for more than a decade. But the one topic that feels most vulnerable to talk about is sex. The thought of asking him to do something different I might like in bed scares the shit out of me (even though he's told me a million times he'd love it). So why the fear?
Good thing I host a podcast and I get to find the most amazing experts to answer this questions for me.
Life coach Natalie Vartanian comes on the podcast to talk about why talking about sex is so scary and what we're missing out on when we don't explore our sexual identities. She answers all my questions about how to move past fear and into adventure within a relationship and also individually.
We get deep in this episode (pun intended).
