Your "slow" is someone else's NASCAR race

No matter who you are or where you are in life, there's someone in the world that wants to be in your position. I was talking to my husband about how frustrated I was that it has taken me two years to finish writing a book proposal. "TWO YEARS!" I exclaimed. I told him I felt like a turtle, watching everyone pass me by. There are authors who've written two books in the time it's taken me to get this far. But he reminded me that I'm moving in the right direction, and that's all that matters. If hadn't written the proposal, I'd be wishing I was in my position now, even if it took three years. Enjoy the ride!
